Well, here's some interesting news...

Today's new LATimes/Bloomberg Poll says that this "bitter" thing may have even helped Obama:

"Her formerly double-digit lead is now just a 5-point margin in Pennsylvania, a survey finds. The reduced margin makes a win for her there less significant. She trails Obama among Hoosiers."

"In Pennsylvania, the flap seems to have marginally helped Obama more than hurt him: 24% said his handling of the issue made them think more highly of him; 15% said it made them think less highly of him; 58% said it made no difference in their views."

This flap goes to show that Obama's VP choice will be crucial - Jim Webb would be an obvious choice if he's willing to leave the Senate during his first term.

Reaction from friends in rural VA was basically to shug and say, "yep, he's a gun-banning democrat - no new info there."

The PA voters who are offended are the ones so delusional that they will vote for McNasty anyway. The shock is mostly from hearing any American candidate for National office speak the truth. If there was any real outcry
we would be seeing real people ranting all over the evening news. All I have seen are millionaire pundits.
